Scarlett Johansson was born on November 22nd, 1984 at New York City New York. She is an American actor and singer whose talents have won her recognition across many types of films ranging from thrillers and adventure films to period dramas. Johansson was the daughter of an architect and a producer, was born as a child in New York City. Hunter is the sister of Johansson was born in the city of New York. As a young girl of just 7 an old, the actress began casting for commercials on television. The passion for acting developed quickly, and she was soon after to the Lee Strasberg Theatre Institute. In the Off-Broadway play Sophistry she co-starred with Ethan Hawke. She then had her first appearance in a film in North (1994) and was written by Rob Reiner, at age nine. Johansson made her debut as a character in Just Cause (1996), however it was Manny & Lo 1996 that was her breakthrough. The movie is about two girls orphaned by their parents who have fled to escape. After that, she earned the praise of critics for playing the role of a teenager who experienced an accident which caused her to be disfigured in The Horse Whisperer (1998). The film gained her more acclaim for her performance in Ghost World (2002) as the cynical outcast Rebecca. Smith was offered her first role in the age of six with parents' support. She starred in a TV commercial for Dannon yogurt. She decided, like the majority of actresses just getting started, to improve her abilities in the theatre. In addition, she worked on other projects throughout the USA as well, and Wildflower was her first onstage show. She was a graduate of her Stonestreet Studios Conservatory of the New York University Tisch School of the Arts.
